All About Me

Happy Monday friends,

I have some Let's Get Sketchy Inspiration for you today.

Isabelle and Eden headed out one afternoon last month to snap some photos together.  Just ask me how much that filled my mamma's heart.  They both managed to take some really great shots of one another.

Tabitha's sketch
I had fun using my November Scraptastic Kit, a TCW mask and some paint on this one.

I love the way these photos showcase Belle's crazy, fun personality perfectly.

Hop over here to see what the rest of the DT did with Tabitha's sketch, and to link up your own take on it.  I hope you're feeling inspired to create something beautiful today. Pin It

Warm It Up

Today at Use It Tuesday that's exactly what we are challenging you to use.  Using your hoarded stash, we are challenging you to create a project that uses red, and/or yellow, and/or orange.

Here is the layout I created using our little Wilson as inspiration.
Mask is The Crafter's workshop

The Crate Paper Story Teller papers, and embellishments, the red trim, and this gorgeous Evalicious flair badge that I've had forever were my hoarded items used on this layout.

You can see what the rest of the DT did to warm up their projects, and link up your own creation here. You never know, doing so may just get you into our Guest DT role somewhere down the road.

Enjoy your day friends, and thanks so much for stopping by! Pin It

I {heart} To Tap

In case you missed it, I had this layout up on the Chic Tags blog yesterday.

I've been taking a Competitive Adult Tap class for the past few years now, and decided to create a layout in celebration of that accomplishment.  I didn't grow up dancing as just about everyone else in my class did.  I took it up as a hobby after watching the beginner class practice a few times.  They looked like they were having so much fun, I just had to give it a try.  Needless to say I loved it, and was hooked after the very first class.  Here I am 4 years later, having learned so much, getting a pretty good work out, and having a blast with the group of ladies who make up the class.  Competing is a blast, apparently people love to see us 'old ladies' strut out stuff on stage.
I enjoyed using my November kit from Scraptastic Kit Club, my silhouette, paints, mask, and mists on this one.

I'll be back tomorrow with a new layout I created for this challenge over at Scraptastic Book Club. Pin It

I Got A Makeover

Well my blog did anyway.  What do you think?

The very talented Kristine Davidson did a fabulous job giving me a fresh new look that matches my personality, and even reflects my scrappy style.  You'll noticed lace trim, banners, doilies, and butterflies, all of which find their way onto many of my scrap pages.
Kristine has a great rate, and she works fast (my makeover took her less than 48 hours). You can see more of her blog makeover designs here.  I love my new look, it makes me happy every time I open the page.

I thought that today I'd share a few projects with you.  First up is a new layout.  This was one of those layout that came together super quick.  I had the photo, and knew I wanted to pair it with some of my Double Dutch scraps by Lily Bee Design. Add a little mist and half an hour later, a completed page.
This is Gus, our friend's cat.  We cat sit him from time to time when they go out of town.  Isabelle is always in her glory when we get to visit.  She adores cats, but we will likely   never own one.  I made the poloroid frame using my Silhouette.

Next are a couple of layouts I had up on some DT blogs over the past while.

This one was made using My Mind's Eye All Is Bright papers, and some fabulous A Flair For Buttons Flair.

This one was up on the Chic Tags Blog featuring many of their fabulous tags, and more of that same MME collection.
I have a few more project to share with you, but they'll have to wait for another time.  As will a scrappy little secret I've been keeping from you.  That will have to wait just a tad longer though.

On the agenda today I'll finish wrapping the girls' stocking stuffers, and deliver little homemade treats to our sweet neighbours.  Only a few more sleeps to go, are you ready?  Tonight I've got a scrappy date with my girl Tara.  It'll be nice to catch up with her.

I hope this finds you doing well in your corner of the wold.  Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a wonderful weekend friends!

SEM Challenge #22

Where did October go?  It doesn't seem possible that today is really November 5th.  It is however, and the good news is that another Monthly Challenge has been posted over at Scrapping Everyday Miracles.

This month Cara has challenged us to create a layout that focuses on family.  My gang never fails to offer me all kinds of inspiration.  I used photos from a little shoot we did for a girlfriend who was finishing up a photography course in June and needed a family to shoot.  I think she did a great job.  She captured some lovely family shots of us, and even indulged us a bit and let us be a little wild and crazy for a few (that's the real us anyhow, ha ha)

Journaling reads: Good looking & FUN.  Yup, that's us in a nutshell.
I worked with the the brand spakin' new Sn@p Collection by Simple Stories.  They have totally moved into my number one manufacturer spot I tell you.  This line is playful and fun, and perfect for both full page layouts, their Sn@p (6x8) albums, and Project Life.  When I saw the papers I just knew they'd go great with these photos of my crazy little family.  I've also use The Crafters Workshop 6x6 chicken wire mask, and a Pink Paislee mistable butterfly.  The twist this month is to use ribbon on your layout.

Pop over here to see what the rest of the team came up with, and get all the deets on our gracious sponsor for the month Peace, Love & Scrapbooking Kit Club.  As a special treat they are also offering Scrapping Everyday Miracle members an additional 15% off this months kit, all you have to do is quote GC0906338 at check out.  Hop over here to grab yours.

Hope to see you link up with us this month.

Happy Monday friends, may the week be off to a great start for you.
