A little Moments In Between Share

Hi there friends, Surprise, I'm still recording snippets of our everyday lives here.  I've finally photographed some more of my Moments In Between album to share with you.

 November 3-9

Right Side
This was kept super duper simple.   Being 3 weeks shy of finising off 2013, I wa really tyring to keep things rather simple, but still me.  I used the Project Life Honey Kit to complete this week.  I've included a few things from our trip to Saskatoon with Théa for her Triple Threat Dance Convention, like a wrist bands, and our hotel room key.  I'm still enjoying the process, I would simply love more time in my week to be able to keep up to date, haha.

How about you?  Still working on your Project Life type memory keeping?  Jut creating for fun?   Don't forget about your chance to link up with our current Issue at Paper Issues, our current sketch at Creative Scrappers, and our current sketch at Chic Tags, there are some sweet prizes up for grabs from all.

Scraptastic Club's This Life Noted Kits

I have 2 Scraptastic pages to share with you today.  The first is from the October This Life Noted Kit
This has been my favourite kit to date.  I just loved the colours in this one.
I created that "love" frame on the bottom right using my Silhouette Cameo.
Notice that date card?  It was my favourite card in the kit, it has this cool linen look to it.  I also loved that like all of the cards in the kit  it is double sided. (all This Life Noted cards have BOTH landscape and portrait orientation)
I had originally glued the arrow to the wrong week on the card, but because it's double sided my error was quickly corrected simply by flipping card over and starting again.
My next page is using the November This Life Noted kit.
Another great colour combo in this one.
Used the stamp in the kit to create the hearts on that bottom left card.  Same with the zig zags, and tiny hearts on the cards below.

Pulled a couple of alphas from previous kits to complete my title, and secured all the alphas by stitching them to the cards.  Also pulled in a couple of pieces for the Home Add On Kit, and one tag from my stash on this page.
Using kits makes the documenting process fast and enjoyable.  I used to use just my scraps to create my Moments In Between album.  This is so much faster, as everything is already colour coordinated and prettied up for you.  All you need to do is add your photos (and if your like me a few ebellies too), and you're done.  You can see what's coming up for December's kits here.  They are Ah-Mazing, I can't wait to receive mine.  This is the first month where I could not decide which kit to go with, so I chose both :)

Have a great day friends, and thanks for stopping by!

Moments In Between Pages

I used the Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic Project to document the week of October 20-26.  Went with more of a pinky brown colour scheme for the week.
The was the weekend of Triple Threat Winnipeg.  The girls and I spent all day Saturday and all day Sunday at the convention centre.  They: danced under the instruction of some of the best choreographers in the industry.  I, on the other hand kept busy walking from one room to the next watching them do what they do best.
Notice anything wrong with that 1st photo on the left?  haha.  Missed that one.
Darwin and I started the week with a Date Night at the Jets vs Predators game, where I finally got my Pavelec jersey.  My hubby bought it for me with a little bonus cash he earned at work, he's a keeper. You can barely tell that I have it on in the photo, haha.  This bottom photo on the right, has some Amy Tangerine stencil stitching on it, love that.  The blue you see next to it, is a smudged photo.  I no longer remember what I had stamped, but now it's gone.  I had used a Ranger's Ink thinking it would be smudge proof on my photo, but I was wrong.  Anyone have a good ink for stamping on photos they can recommend?

I'm happy to report I'm only 2 weeks behind in my album.  I actually prefer it that way, it gives me the freedom to use a Becky Higgins kit or a Sraptastic one when it arrives.  When I'm caught up I don't have that option.

Thanks for stopping in today friends.  I sure appreciate it. Pin It

Moments In Between

October 13-19
I picked up a WeRMemory Keepers mini kit while we were down in the States in September.  It was a great deal at Target for $2.99.  I really like the colours, it's a bit of a change up from both the pastels and the brights I enjoy using in the Becky Higgins Project Life kits.  I'm an equal opportunist PL kit user, haha.
Kinda loving that number card I created with my Silhouette Cameo.  My friend Tara was kind enough to lend me her Amy Tan stitching template to play with.  You'll see a few cards coming up using it, it's a little addictive.
That photo of Isabelle with her cousins just warms my heart.  It's hard to believe how grown up they all are, and I'm so proud of the people they have become.

Thanks for popping in today friends,

Moments In Between

Another instalment for you today: Week: September 29 - October 5
This was my first week using a legit Becky Higgins PL kit.  There are so many cards in the main kit, I don't know that I'll ever use them all, haha  Also messed up on the date, I skipped a whole day.  Oh well, scrapping à la Sherri it is.

Left Side:
Added a A Flair For Buttons Flair here from this set.  Also some Studio Calico embellies, and Cre8tive Cre8tions and, Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday stamps.
Right Side:
Date on title card was created with my Silhouette Cameo, Stamps are from Scraptastic, Studio Calico, and Becky Higgins.
I really enjoyed working with the kit.  I have a couple of mini kits, as well as the Dear Lizzy main kit to break into.  I am so excited to get to work with them.  This Project Life Style of memory keeping has been such a wonderful experience.  I love that I'm getting more photos out, and onto the page.  I love that my kids enjoy looking through the pages as soon as they've been completed.  Most of all I love that I get to scrap the same photo more than once, and most of all that I am currently enjoying both styles of scrapping, I had worried that I may begin to enjoy one over the other leaving me scrapping only a portion of the photos I take.

Thanks so much for popping by today friends, I always appreciate it.

Catching Up

It's amazing what a little prep can do to help one get caught up on documenting unfinished weeks.  On Sunday night while watching football I sorted, printed, and stuffed my photos into slots for the past 4.5 weeks.  Using the Photo Cal App, and my Canon Selphy really helps with the process.

Here is the first of my completed weeks.

This was the week of August Long.  Most of the photos are actually from the weekend.
I'm kinda in love with that title card, it's so colourful and fun, if I do say so myself.  Most everything on the pages come from the August Scraptastic Club Kit.  I have pretty much killed off the kit by using up all scraps on my Moments In Between pages.  I love their This Life Noted Kits, but I really wanted to take a little break from them for a bit just to use up my kits as much as possible.  I am not a hoarder, and greatly dislike waste, so it makes me feel so good to have used up the whole kit.
All in all I made 4 layouts, and 3 Moments In Between spreads with my August kit.  They are such a great value for your money, and Jessica puts together some really fabulous kits.

Here is what's on it's way to me this month.
The We Are Family kit is full of Teresa Collins goodness.  I just love the colour combos here.

This is the Add On Kit I'll be adding to it.

And this is the coordinating stamp set.
I especially love those doily stamps.

Jessica's kits are such a great value, and she puts together the best assortment of papers and embellishments.  Last month, I completed 4 layout, and 3 Moments In Between Spreads using just one of the Main Kits and it's coordinating Add On kit.  The kits really do go far, and having everything pre-selected really does help take the guess work out of mixing & matching.  I'll have more of my Moments In Between pages to share with you next week.

Be sure to pop back on Sunday as I'll have my very first reveal for Creative Scrappers up.  Can't wait to share it with you.

Thanks for stopping in today, and I hope you have a great day.  Leave me a comment, and I'll be sure to repay it. Pin It

Documenting CHA

I've finally documented my CHA experience through photos.  I decided to skip the mini, and simply stick the pages directly into my Moments In Between album, using hockey card pages as little insert for all the extra photos I had for the week.

Here is what the weekly spread looked like.

Here is the front cover of the insert pages

 First set of insert pages

 Second set of insert pages

Last page: devoted to Carol and her family.
Such a great experience.  This was like completing 4 weeks of life into one.  It took me a full day to do, but I'm so glad I did it, and I really love the outcome.  I used the Scraptastic August kits to complete it, with a few things from my stash.  You can see this months This Life Noted kit here.  The main kits can be found here, and here.  Make sure to also check out the stamps, and add ons kits too.  I can't wait to get my hands on these!

Thank you for stopping by today friends.  I haop you have a wonderful weekend.  As for us, we're headed to the lake one last time for some good old fashioned low key, games playing, no technology hang out just us together time.  See you back here on Monday. Pin It

Project Life Catch Up

Catching up on my Project Life here.  I shared these layouts on the Scraptastic Blog last week.  They were both made using the July This Life Noted kit.

That Love This Life die cut card was part of the kit that I just backed with some scrap patterned paper
This section of the week was my favourite.  I used the anchor stamp from the Rock Lobster stamp add on kit to embellish the custom made card.  I stamped it onto white cardstock, embossed it, fussy cut it, then popped if off the page using 3D foam squares.  If you're interested that set is still available in the shop here.  And that cluster of washi, stamping, and flair just makes me happy.

The next week was a lot more fun to create.  You can tell that I got a lot more comfortable with the kit, and adding more bits and pieces to my spread.

Love that little heart stamp.  And I shortened the pennant a little by cutting the tip off in that top left photo.  Right next to that, the black and white card is actually just white cardstock with strips of the chalkboard washi lined up on it. I used my white Signo pen to write on it.
The repeating arrows are one of the stamps in the Out On The Town Add On Kit.
I used the "photo op" stamp from the Out On The Town stamp Add On, and stamped directly onto that photo of my daughter painting.  And that chalk board washi came in handy too, it was a perfect way to embellish my 4x6 journal card.
Love that Happy, Happy, Happy stamp that Kaitlin designed for us.
It's safe to say that designing my PL spreads with a kit is definitely a great way to go, it's portable, it's fast, it's 100% coordinated, and best of all it's fun.
Come check out this month's This Life Noted Kit in the shop here.
I will be away for a few days now, as the girls and I are going to take off to the lake once again. Unplugging and recharging ourselves with friends in the great outdoors.
See you when we return.  I hope you are off creating memories and enjoying these last few weeks of summer before school begins once again (I understand it's even less time for my American friends, I feel for you, but know that you've been off a lot longer than us too *wink*)
Until then,

July Life Noted Kit

The July Life Noted Kit the Jessica put together along with some exclusives from Ormolu's Kaitlin Sheaffer was a great one to start with.
I've been loving yellows and oranges lately, this is new to me, and this kit had plenty of the two to help me create fun, vibrant layouts.

Here is my first PL spread using the kit.

I printed my photos a little smaller this week to see how I like it.  I do like that they fit on the cards better this way, but think I may stick with a mix of small and large.  We'll see my OCD self is having a bit of a hard time with the inconsistency this way too, lol.  At the end of the day I just want a system that works for me and doesn't take a long time to put together.
The flair, and stamp are a couple of Kaitlin's exclusives in the kit.
Loved that little anchor stamp that came in the Scrapbook Kit Add on stamp pack, I just had to use it here.  I've embossed it with a little Zing powder.
And there you have it,  June is now in the books.  I'll share my first July spread with you after I'm back from CHA.  I leave later tonight, and can't wait for the week off of mommy/wife duty.

Hope you've had a wonderful weekend friends, thank for popping in! Pin It
