It's time for a new Challenge up at Use It Tuesday. This week we're challenging you to use up your stash, while focusing on stickers, embossing, and/or rub ons. In my opinion the DT projects are amazing this month, and the team truly managed to pull out some O.L.D stash to create some fabulous projects. You can see the full reveal on the Use It Tuesday Blog.
I decided to focus on stickers this week, since I own zero rub ons, and seem to be adding embossing back into my regular scrappy projects.
The photos are from our last day in Banff last week before heading back to Calgary. We stopped at a great place for lunch, and these two were getting along just great. Not acting like their typical teenage selves, but actually being cordial, and light hearted, no grumbling, mumbling, or complaining. Heaven.
Most of the stickers are from Crate Paper, they are at least 2 years old, some older I think. And that metal clip is at least 5 years old. I love using up my stash this way.
The circles are cut outs from last year's Amy Tangerine release.
Journaling reads "Caught this beauty while out for lunch in Banff. Proof that they don't hate the camera as much as they claim they do."
Hope you'll come and link up with us. You could find yourself working as our featured Guest Designer sometime soon.
Thanks for popping in today friends!

LGS Sketch Reveal
I'm baaaack. For real this time. I apologize for being MIA all last week, but getting back into the swing of things took a little more of my time and energy than anticipated. I also attended the awesome Crop & Create event from Friday to Sunday. Aaaand, I've got some really exciting life stuff going on that required my full attention toward the end of the week. I'll be sure to let you in on everything real soon.
On to the scrappy goodness you've likely stopped by for. Here is the layout I created based on this week's sketch at Let's Get Sketchy.

| Those gorgeous snowflakes were created by the talented Daniela Dobson. |
And here is this week's sketch. It's a good one!
Hope you find the time to play along with us. Check out what the rest of the team came up with here. And this is where you can see what last week's sketch was. Remember you have all month to link up with us. Linking up at least 3 times will get you into the drawing for our sponsored prize for the month.
Thanks for popping in. Have a wonderful Monday friends!

And....we're back
![]() |
| We hit the road bright and early, 6:20. An hour later we were all awake and ready for the trip ahead. |
![]() |
| Thought the 2 boxers looked hilarious in Regina, keeping the front seats warm while their 'people' were away. |
![]() |
| Finally arrive in Alberta... |
![]() |
| And we're all starting to get a little excited about the mountains....that...or we're going a little crazy from the many, many hours in the car. |
![]() |
| Major Just Dance 4 party session ensued shortly after we arrived |
![]() |
| Of course I just had to hit up the nearest scrapbook store while in Calgary. |
![]() |
| Had dinner with these lovely ladies that same night. L:Lee-Anne Middle: Carla both of whom I've met on scrappy DT's over the past year. |
![]() |
| The amazing view on the way up to Banff |
![]() |
| Théa and I, in the gondola ready to hit the slopes. |
![]() |
| Breathtaking gondola view |
![]() |
| The view from the top of The Great Divide |
![]() |
| Taking in the task before us. For the record I was petrified, it was the steepest hill I had ever tackled. I did it twice, but will be happy if I never see it again. |
![]() |
| The View from our balcony at the Stoneridge Mountain Resort |
![]() |
| A little hot tubbing and swimming to relax the muscles at the end of a long day. |
![]() |
| I took my SLR up to the top so we could catch a few family photos. |
![]() |
| Jeff, Shannon, and little Nyah our gracious hosts and fabulous skiing buddies. |
![]() |
| The mountain tops were simply glowing on the drive back to Calgary from Banff. |
![]() |
| They were just glorious. I must have about 50 photos of them. Beautiful way to end our time in the mountains. |
![]() |
| Spend the last day in Banff, first stop The Banff Hot Springs. The girls all had so much energy after the springs that they all took their turns doing their splits on the railing. |
![]() |
| I would never get tired of that view. Banff is such a pretty little town. |
![]() |
| How great are these signs? The Tin Box was a super cool store, so many neat and unique things all in one place. |
![]() |
| We hit the Banff Avenue Brewing Company for lunch before heading back to Calgary. |
![]() |
| We made our way to the Calgary Tower on the last day in Calgary |
![]() |
| Yes we were really up that many feet (99 stories) |
![]() |
| The girls tried out the Hurricane Simulator, it was pretty amusing |
![]() |
| Of course we had to step on the glass floor, some of us were a little more nervous than others, a-hem, Darwin |
![]() |
| Then we walked 17Ave for a little window shopping. |
![]() |
| And grabbed a yummy lunch at Earl's before heading to our friends place. |
![]() |
| Alex and Eden who are only one day apart in age, were like two peas in a pod. |
![]() |
| And before we knew it, it was time to say good bye. |
![]() |
| And just like that vacation was over, and it was time to head back to Manitoba |
Now to get back into the groove. Tomorrow we will hit the ground running, with a full day of school, and Dance class in the evening.
Thanks for peeking in on our time away. I apologize for any grammar or typos in this post. I'm tired, but wanted to give you all a taste of what we've been up to over the past week. I'm excited to document all of this using Chic Tags Road Trip Collectoin, and a brand new Simple Stories Sn@p album. Pin It

He Is Risen!
I believe because there is no other logical explanation for how it is that I am the person I am today, other than by the grace of God.
Today I celebrate that Christ is risen.
He is risen indeed.
Happy Easter to you my friends.
May you know the real and freeing love of The Father today!

Currently
Had this layout up at Chic Tags yesterday.
It's been awhile since I've done one of these "currently" layouts about myself. I think they'll be fun to look back on when I'm old and grey and see what my tastes and interests had been at different points in my life.
As I was excitedly looking through the new Road Trip collection the day it arrived, the "You are Here" icon really jumped out at me, and made me think about life, more than an actual road trip. I created my layout all about my currents around that one tag.
I think the A Camping We Will Go bunting are possibly my favourite tags of all. I could use these guys on every single layout. Here I managed to match up the "s" from a super old set of BasicGrey alphas perfectly overtop of the tag to give it a 3D effect. The ATC is from the Everyday Life set.
Only a couple more days of Spring Break here, and Easter right on our tails. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend xo Pin It

What about you, are you in the habit of creating "currently" layouts, to look back on someday? Perhaps you'll feel inspired to sit down and create one this week. The Everyday Life, and Road Trip collections are perfect tags to get you started. Only a couple more days of Spring Break here, and Easter right on our tails. Cre8tive Cre8tions
Remember when I told you about Cre8tive Cre8tions? It's a new scrapbook supply company out of Germany. Andrea and her husband Thomas started their little company producing fun flair badges to start, and now only 2 months later offer patterned paper, stamps, and paper tags as well. I am so happy they are getting their name out there, and thrilled that they have welcomed me on to design for them.
This layout of Théa and her friends Sabrina and Maya was created using several of the patterned papers available in the collection. Along with a few of the flair pieces.
The title was made using October Afternoon mini market stickers and a free Heidi Swapp cut file.
The polar grid mask is one I made using the Silhouette also, it was super easy, and someday if I ever figure out how to offer files for free on my blog I will give it to you. I sprayed over the mask with Hiedi Swapp Color Shine. I did the same thing down in the bottom right corner.
You can check out the Cre8tive Cre8tions shop here. And there's load of inspiration on her blog here.
Speaking of Color Shine, I had this layout up on the Cre8tive Cre8tions blog and Instagram last week, where it caught the attention of the one and only Ms. Heidi Swapp and her team.
That's it for me today. I hope you're enjoying the day wherever you may find yourself today. Thanks as always for stopping by! Pin It

She even asked if she could re-post it. Crazy right?!
Oh and remember this About A Boy layout?
It caught the attention of Echo Park, and was re-posted on their Instagram page. It was also featured as a Gallery Highlight at scrapbookupdate.com. Not bad for one layout, I thought. That's it for me today. I hope you're enjoying the day wherever you may find yourself today. Thanks as always for stopping by! Pin It
