Altered picture frame Part 1

Am I the only one who thinks this week has flown by?

It was really nice and quiet around here during the day with all the girls gone.  I had these grand plans of accomplishing a multitude of tasks while I had all the time in the world.  Yah, right, that so did not happen.  I can't complain though, it was a very nice week overall.  My family is safe, and everyone is healthy, everything else is just icing on the cake.

I finally got a photo of the frame I altered.  My first attempt at an alteration.  I've seen some amazing projects shared by some very creative crafters, I've just been too nervous to give it a shot (the perfectionist in me, really dislikes failure).  I found this frame at HomeSense at the beginning of summer.  I knew it would look great in my scrap space, but that it needed a little pizazz added to it.  That's where my love affair with flowers comes in.  I added a potpourri of flowers, doilies, and butterflies to the plain white frame, and voila; a lovey wall hanging.  I just need to figure out what to put inside now.  I'm thinking "live"  "laugh"   "love"  hand stitched on kraft paper.  What do you think?
I'll repost it, once it's officially completed
It's a pretty low key weekend around here.  We begin with an early morning tomorrow, as we have to leave the house by 8 am, to pick Isabelle up from camp at 10 am, ugh.  Cheering on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as they take on the BC Lions tomorrow night.  And Sunday, church.  Have I ever mentioned how much I like low key.

Hope your weekend is an enjoyable one friends,

That's simply beautiful... and I know that the words stitched onto kraft paper would be the perfect shabby touch! I love it!

Sunday noon here, and i wanna bake that caramel cake but the shop downstairs ran out of bicarbonate of soda! maybe we will take a walk to the nearby neighbourhood market to get that.. then we can bake.
