Sketchy Thursday with Scraptastic & a Giveaway

It's that time of the month at Scraptastic...when Susan inspires us to think outside our comfort zone and work with one of her her sketches.  I really loved this months' sketch, it was so easy to work with and allowed me to use several of the gorgeous papers in the Home For The Holidays Main kit, as well as the stamp set.

This kit is gorgeous, perfect for this time of year.  The Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas collection is my favourite Christmas Collection, and paired with Teresa Collins, Echo Park, and Carta Bella it's all that much more beautiful.
Embossed one of the stamps in the set and used red glitter Zing, the green tree is also from the set.
I raised the letters off the page using 3D tape.

Aren't those ornament wood veneers the cutest?!
 And how about an early Christmas gift for you?  Jessica has graciously offered me both the kit and stamp set to give away to one lucky person.  She will even take care of the shipping, she's that great!

    Your layout and the kits are gorgeous Sherri! I jump around from year to year also. I've done Dec. Daily, individual pages, and now I'm thinking of starting a album with all the misc. Christmas photos I have not scrapped and making it one big Christmas pocket page album. Christmas through the years if you will. Thanks for the chance to win this generous giveaway!

    Every year I take the same album to Christmas dinner and have everyone sign it. On Boxing Day, I scrapbook a 2-page layout of the day and include arrivals (births), passages (deaths) and joinings (weddings). The family loves to look back over the years and see the changes in our family. The album is heading into the 18th year!

    Well, Sherri this is an awesome Kit!! I had a peek at the other ones just revealed and I LOVE them!!!

    I always do a few 12x12 pages, but I would be interested in doing a December Daily-I have never heard of doing that!

    I love all the details in your page - such great memory keeping!! I found myself studying it over and over, so I am definitely a new follower! I have a Christmas book from year to year to journal the memories. That way I can transfer those thoughts to my pages!

    Love your layout and the gorgeous layering. Fabulous. I tend to just do as many pages as necessary to scrap the photos I have. I am not good at a daily type of album.

I tend to do a few layouts each year, but am very inttrigued by the idea of making a December Daily type of album, but with all of our Christmases instead. Would be lots of fun, I think, to have all of the Christmas memories in one spot! Merry Christmas!!
